We are a social organization dedicated to the needs of those who are new to the area or are interested in meeting new people and making new friends. We hold our General Meeting Luncheons in local restaurants usually on the third Thursday of every month from September through May. These luncheons are a time to socialize, listen to a speaker or experience a special program. As part of the Club, we have a number of exciting Special Interest Groups to further meet your needs and help you become better oriented to our community. We also send out a monthly newsletter to all members, sharing news of Club activities and community events.

ACTIVE MINDS DISCUSSION GROUP (4th Thursday 10:00 am)
Please join us the 4th Thursday of the month at 10:00 for a conversation about a topic selected by the group; prior discussions have focused on everything from friendship to forgiveness, to favorite movies to favorite celebrity crushes!
BRUNCH & A MOVIE (1st Tuesday)
On the first Tuesday of each month, the Brunch and a Movie interest group meets for brunch at 11:30 am at Nudy's, 420 W Lincoln Avenue, Exton to enjoy a meal and conversation. We we eat, we select a movie to see at the Downingtown Regal. If you're not up to seeing a movie, please feel free to join us for brunch and conversation.
BRIDGE Ladies Daytime (1st and 3rd Wednesday, 2nd and 4th Monday, from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm)
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays and the 2nd and 4th Mondays at 10 am. On Wednesdays, we play in the community room of the Chaddwell Apartments from 10am to 2 pm. We bring our lunch and beverages for the day. On Mondays, we play at Fattoush Restaurant in Frazer from 10 am to 2 pm, breaking at noon to buy our lunch.
CANASTA (4th Tuesday beginning at 10:00 am to 2:00 pm)
We play from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Fattoush, 182 Lancaster Ave, Malvern, and we buy our own food.
GALS ON THE GO (4th Saturday)
Casual get-together of ladies for lunch or brunch at various restaurants, with an email sent to members in advance notifying that month's location. All members are welcome!
GAME DAY (3rd Wednesday Afternoon) – 3rd Wednesday afternoon each month at 2-6 pm for practice and nibbles at Fattoush Mediterranean Cuisine in Malvern (182 Lancaster Ave, in the strip mall just east of the Malin Road Traffic light) PLAY BEGINS at 3:00pm and may go as late as 6pm. We play everything from card games to board games. We’d love to have you host a session with your favorite game, for instance - Phase 10; Hearts; Eucre; Dominos; Cranium; Rummy; Scrabble, Rummikub, etc., either at Fattoush or in your home! Game Day is open to spouses and significant others or a friend! All are welcome – we just need a count before the session. Information about the games for each day of play are announced in the newsletter, as well as contact information for the coordinator to whom you can express your interest in joining in the fun!
LET'S WALK (1st & 3rd Friday, 2nd Monday)
Interested in exploring local parks and neighborhoods while enjoying fresh air, exercise, and conversation? Come walk with us on the first and third Fridays of the month! Anyone wanting to walk in company with others can arrive at 9:00 at Applegate Park. 1661 Paoli Pike, West Chester. Applebrook is across from East Goshen Park; parking is behind the Chamber of Commerce building. We often extend the walk by meandering through connecting trails. Also, those interested in longer walks on more demanding terrain can mark the 2nd Mondays of the month at 8:30 for a hike, the location TBD each month.
MAH JONGG (2nd & 4th Wednesday 11 am to 2:30 pm)
If you are an experienced player or if you wish to learn, please join us. We play from 11:00 -2:30 at PJ Whelihan's at 12 General Warren Blvd, Malvern and purchase lunch at the restaurant.
PAGE TURNERS BOOK CLUB (4th Friday at 10:00 am)
Please join us on the 4th Friday of the month for a discussion of a book selected by the group. The location varies; participants volunteer to host the conversation and supply light refreshments and coffee/tea for participants. We read everything from prize winners, best sellers, and classics to summer beach books.
PINOCHLE - Evening (2nd Saturday)
Saturday Pinochle is a unique opportunity for partners and friends to join us in play. In general, we gather as early as 4:15pm or as late as 6:00pm at the hostess’s discretion. We anticipate the 4:30pm starts will have a half hour of noshing on light appetizers before play begins at 5:00pm, while a later start may opt to begin play immediately, so arriving 15 minutes early is a best practice. Be sure to join the email group and receive details directly in advance of the play’s format and location. Either way, it’s a fun evening of play and conversation! Be sure to BYOB your beverage(s) of choice, regardless.
PINOCHLE - Daytime (2nd Tuesday begins at 9:30 am)
Join us for social time at 9:30 with play beginning at 10am til 2pm. Our hostess chooses where to play (her home or out, such as at
Fattoush restaurant). If we meet at someone’s home, the hostess will decide what to have for lunch, such as a salad with everyone bringing an ingredient, or sandwiches/soup with everyone bringing her own sandwich.
TGIF
Gather once a month to celebrate the end of the week with a TGIF evening. Participants bring an appetizer or dessert to share as well as their choice of beverage.
THIRSTY THURSDAY (4th Thursday)
Thirsty Thursday is held on the 4th Thursday of each month for Happy Hour at a local restaurant, usually between 4 and 6 pm. Our purpose is to socialize and get to know one another better. Alcohol imbibing is definitely NOT required. The location changes each month. An email will be sent, notifying members of the location.

Catalog of Newcomer baby items has been compiled and these items are available to loan to fellow Newcomers.
RESTORATION HARDWARE (Lending Group only)
List of medical equipment belonging to Newcomers who are willing to share with other members, e.g., crutches, walkers, canes, wheelchairs, etc.
